RCET recruiting

Policy Officer sought for military children’s charity
RCET – Scotland’s Armed Forces Children’s Charity – are embarking on a new 5 year Strategic Plan which will see the charity develop and grow their services. To support this mission, they are looking for an experienced Policy Officer who will join a small but highly motivated team, committed to making a real difference to the lives of children from Armed Forces and veteran families in Scotland.

The job spec can be found on their website: https://www.rcet.org.uk/we-are-recruiting/

The successful candidate’s key responsibilities will be to develop, review and implement policy positions for the charity; provide expert internal strategic briefings and intelligence based on analysis of relevant legislation, policy and the wider environment and undertake research to support these aims.

RCET is the only Armed Forces children’s’ charity in Scotland. This is the first post of its kind in the charity's 200 year history, so it's a great opportunity for the right person.
